Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. She has a father named Paul Felix. Paul Felix is an ordained minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. and her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix demonstrated a talent for athletics before she realized her speedy abilities while she attended Los Angeles Baptist High School. In just 10 weeks following her initial tryout, she placed 2nd in the 200 meter event at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix had graduated high school in 2003, signed an athletic contract with Adidas. Then she attended the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. One year later Felix won her debut Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece and set a junior world record by running 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, she was the world's youngest champion in 200 meters of all time at the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007, over her former Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix placed consistently within the top three throughout her events in the Olympics which took place in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
