Iliza Shlesinger
Iliza Vie Shlesinger born February 22, 1983 is an American comedian, actress, television host, executive producer, and screenwriter. She was the winner of 2008 on The NBC series Last Comic Standing. She went on to host Separation Anxiety and the syndicated dating show Excused.
Shlesinger hosted Truth and Iliza (Freeform) in 2017 on her own late-night talk show. There are six Netflix comedy specials. In April of 2020, Netflix premiered her sketch comedy series The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch show.
Iliza Vie Shlesinger was born in New York City to a Jewish family. [6] She was raised in Dallas, Texas, where her family relocated when she was a newborn. She was a student at the private Greenhill School in Addison, Texas in which she learned Spanish and participated in the school's improv team.
Shlesinger appeared on ComedySportz Dallas and was a freshman at the University of Kansas. She was also part of the cast in Semester at Sea. Then she moved to Emerson College, Boston, Massachusetts. There, she studied film. There she developed her editing and writing abilities as well as joined Jimmy's Traveling All Stars, a comedy sketch group for students on campus.

Shlesinger graduated from college and moved to Los Angeles to pursue stand up comedy. She was one of the most popular members of the Whiteboy Comedy troupe of standup comedians from Los Angeles. It brought her to The Improv in Hollywood.
