Amy Carlson
Amy Lynn Carlson (born July 7, 1968) is an American actress best known for her performances in the roles of Linda Reagan in the CBS police procedural Blue Bloods as well as Alex Taylor on the NBC drama Third Watch, and Josie Watts in the NBC daytime soap show Another World.
Early life
Carlson was born in Elmhurst in Illinois (DuPage County, Illinois], which is near Chicago. Her family was raised in Glen Ellyn in Illinois by her parents, Robert Eugene Carlson and Barbara Jane (Hultman), school teachers. She is of Swedish origin with roots in Smaland.
Career
1986-1992: The College years and the beginning of careers
She first came to Hollywood through her performance as a background actress in the movie Lucas with Charlie Sheen (Corey Haim) and Winona Ryder. Later she followed her older sister Betsy to Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois.
